Pretty in Purple

This beautiful November bride chose dark purple and slate gray as the colors for her wedding. For the candy, however, the couple decided to select candy that they loved! I love this because it's so personal... The candies included red licorice, sour patch kids, skittles, pretzel M&M's, conversation hearts (yes, the ones you see around Valentine's Day - so cute), and rock candy. The display was so colorful, but elegant as well.

So Very Vintage...

This October bride had a very clear vision for her wedding - vintage! Every element of her reception was based on the theme, "a nod to the past". The couple chose vintage candies such as Turkish Taffy, Bit-O-Honey, and White Metallic Sixlets that looked the pearls. Other elements included vintage birdcages, lots of lace, and even suitcases on the candy table. This candy buffet was so elegant and romantic...love.

Retro at the Valley Ho!

One of my brides, (and friends), Allison was married at the Valley Ho and wanted to have a fun retro theme for her candy buffet. Her beautiful reception was held on the rooftop of the hotel and was accented with so many fun and punchy colors! For her candy buffet, the couple chose fun dip, wax lips, salt water taffy, Jelly Bellies, wax bottles, rock candy, and gumballs! I was lucky enough to be a guest at this wedding and loved watching the guests enjoy the candy table (especially all of the cute little kids). My favorite picture is of the bride's daughter modeling the wax lips...priceless! :)

Spooky and Spectaculuar!

The day before Halloween, Couture Candy Co designed a custom candy buffet for a "Day of the Dead" themed wedding. The bride and groom chose a color scheme of black, white, and red with spooky accents such as sugar skulls and tombstones to label their candy. Candy selections included white chocolate pretzels, black cherry popcorn, and atomic fireballs!

Sweet Networking

Couture Candy Co was invited to participate in the June WEN-AZ Event at the beautiful Regale! at DC Ranch. Regale is an AMAZING venue with great desert and city views. It's a very unique space with the potential for any bride to make it her own! The owner, Tony, is fantastic - check out their website: www.regaleaz.com for more information.

The theme for the event,(which was put on by Apropos Creations), was "Summer Solstice". I included bright, punchy colors - lemon yellow, green, bright orange, and or course - hot pink! Candies included lemon drops, fruit runts, peach gumballs, tangerine licorice, and candied orange slices. Yum!

It was so much fun to be a part of this group and meet so many other wedding professionals!

5/23/10 - Baby Shower

This was such an adorable baby shower. The colors were chocolate brown and blue. I love when clients chose brown as one of their colors, because that means.... CHOCOLATE! And there was no shortage of chocolate at this shower - we used chocolate malt balls, chocolate coverage raspberry sticks, and chocolate licorice.... yes, chocolate licorice! So yummy and beautiful!!! Congrats to the Mom-To-Be and her little boy that's on the way.
